IRVINE, Calif. (March 30, 2015) - Salvadoran forward Danis Christofer Ramirez joins the Orange County Blues for the 2015 USL season on loan.

Ramirez 25, began his professional career with Club Deportivo Atlético Marte from the Salvadoran first division. Marte has been a top club in El Salvador having won eight Primera Division titles. The forward appeared in a total of 103 matches and scored over 30 goals during his four seasons with Marte.

The San Salvador native also made several appearances with Salvadoran national teams which included the U17, U20, U21, and U23 age levels.

The Blues became interested in Ramirez when they hosted Atlético Marte in an offseason friendly in November. Ramirez opened up the scoring for Marte in the 22nd minute. He received a pass off a corner and with one touch volleyed it into the corner of the Blues net. The friendly ended in a 4-2 win for the Blues.

"I am very grateful for the support I have received from the team. They have made me feel very welcome," said Ramirez.

"Ramirez is a player with great skill and pedigree, who can hold up the ball and set up his teammates, while also being a dangerous goal scorer as well. We are looking forward to a great season from Christofer," commented Blues acting President and General Manager Tom Payne. "Watching his work rate and goal scoring ability during the friendly, and on film showed us straight away that we needed his talent in our front line."
