Salmon Kings Add D-Man Adam Ross

Victoria, BC - The Victoria Salmon Kings, proud affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks and Manitoba Moose, announced today that the team has signed defenseman Adam Ross.

The 6-4, 209 lb Ross joins the Salmon Kings after completing a four-year career at school with the Merrimack College Warriors. During his time in the NCAA with the Warriors, the defenseman accumulated 30 points (7g-23a) and 209 penalty minutes across 139 games played. Ross' best offensive seasons came where he scored 10 points (2g-8a) in each of his final two years at school. This past season, Ross served as the Warriors' team captain after being an alternate captain in the 2009-10 campaign.

The Red Deer, AB native spent three seasons (2004-05 thru 2006-07) in the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) with the Olds Grizzlys prior to joining the NCAA. In 169 career games in the AJHL, Ross netted 28 goals and 47 assists for 75 points to match 364 minutes in penalties.

The Western Conference quarterfinals series is a 2-3 format with the higher seed choosing the first two or final three games at home.

Victoria finishes up their regular season with the final two games against the Aces Friday April 1st and Saturday April 2nd. Game time is at 7:05 for both contests.
