Salim Adams Named to Ghana Roster Ahead of the TotalEnergies U-23 African Cup of Nations Tournament

FC Cincinnati 2 midfielder Salim Adams has been named to the final Ghana 25-man roster for the TotalEnergies U-23 African Cup of Nations (ACON) tournament. The selection is Adams' second international call-up of his career.
Adams made his international debut with the Ghana U-23 National Team in March, helping his country qualify for this year's ACON competition with a 2-1 aggregate score over Algeria on March 24 and March 28. The Black Meteors will open the tournament this afternoon, June 25, against Congo at Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium.
Ghana has been placed in Group A, alongside Congo, Guinea, and tournament hosts, Morocco. Group stage matches for Ghana will conclude on June 30 with the top two teams advancing to the tournament semifinal round.
Adams has made 11 appearances for FC Cincinnati 2 this season, logging 776 minutes while scoring one goal and ranking second on the team in attempted shots (24).
