St. Paul Saints News Release
ST. PAUL, MN - The Twin Cities encompasses significant religious diversity representing everything from Catholic, Christian, Jewish, and Lutheran faiths to its first Hindu temple which opened in 2006. St. Paul Saints games have always been a meeting place for people of various backgrounds and beliefs where FUN is the common viewpoint. The Saints will host a special Faith and Family Day with a post-game concert during the upcoming homestand.
On Sunday, July 7 when the Saints take on the Kansas City T-Bones at 1:05 p.m. people of all different faiths will congregate at Midway Stadium to honor baseball and fun. Faith based activities will take place during the afternoon and following the 1:05 p.m. game fans can enjoy the music of The Fairlead.
Opening for numerous Christian artists, All Sons and Daughters, Gungor and Switchfoot, The Fairlead are four young men from Northwestern College who started their band three years ago. Their rock/indie style has been on display at First Ave., Station 4, the Joyful Noise Festival and many other local Twin Cities clubs.
Along with the concert, traditional Savers Family Sunday activities will take place with kids running the bases and getting autographs from the entire Saints team following the game. Fans must purchase Tickets for the afternoon game in order to get into the concert.
