San Angelo Saints News Release

SAN ANGELO – The San Angelo Saints today announced that the team has signed another forward in an attempt to shore up their depleted roster. Kelly Martin, a 5-11 170-lb native of Toledo, Ohio, signed a contract today and will be in the line-up for this weekend's games. Martin started the season with the Fort Wayne Komets of the UHL and has also played for the Toledo Storm of the ECHL. He is the second new forward signed this week by the Saints who also added Marcus Forsberg on Monday.

Thompson will remain out of the line-up for at least 2 more weeks, Abel could play this weekend, Sheane is still not back under contract and needs a few more days to recover, while Pecush and Cheesman will be out a couple more weeks each.

Friday is Penny Saver Night with hot dogs, popcorn, sodas and 12-oz beers all costing just 1-penny from 6-7 p.m. There will also be chances for fans to sign up to win an Anniversary Edition Harley Davidson motorcycle that is being raffled off by the San Angelo Stock Show & Rodeo Association. Plus, one lucky fan will win a pair of floor seat tickets to the Joe Diffie, Mark Chesnutt & Tracey Lawrence Concert in Midland on Nov. 26th.

Saturday is Youth Sports Autograph Night. A color Saints Team Picture will be in every Saturday edition of the Standard Times and available at the game for a free Team Autograph Party with the Saints players after the game.
