St. Paul Saints News Release
A pitching staff is only as good as the men behind the dish and with that in mind the St. Paul Saints have agreed to terms with catcher Kevin Sullivan and signed catcher Christian Reyes to their 2008 roster.
The 30-year-old Sullivan was a key component in the Saints run to the 2007 American Asociation Championship Series. He came over in trade with the Joliet Jackhammers last year around the trade deadline. While with the Saints he hit .283 with one homer and five RBI in 18 games, but more importantly was a rock behind the plate.
The 21-year-old Reyes spent the last two seasons in the St. Louis Cardinals organization. He spent 2007 at Single-A Quad Cities where he hit .273 with 12 homers and 63 RBI in 100 games.
The Saints roster now stands at 18 players, nine pitchers and nine position players. They can carry a maximum of 22 players on their roster during the regular season.
