Saints Raising Awareness For Childhood Cancer On Harry Potter Night

DUBUQUE, Iowa - Your Dubuque Fighting Saints are teaming up with Compass to Care to celebrate Childhood Cancer Awareness and going gold with a special Harry Potter themed night sponsored by Paramount Ambulance on October 19th.
"We are so excited to be a part of Compass to Care's fundraiser in support of childhood cancer awareness," Paramount Ambulance announced. "We see, and provide for, a unique need of pediatric cancer patient treatment and transportation. We are honored to be a presenting sponsor alongside the Dubuque Fighting Saints for this event."
All muggles, wizards and magical creatures are welcome to the game that will feature a one-of-a-kind Harry Potter themed jersey sporting the colors of Gryffindor (red and gold). The jerseys will be auctioned off after the game to benefit Compass to Care and their mission to ensure all families can access life-saving cancer treatment for their children
"We are honored to have been chosen by the Dubuque Fighting Saints as the beneficiary of their Childhood Cancer Awareness night. This night would not have been possible without the generous support of Paramount Ambulance, who has been fully committed to supporting Compass to Care's children. There are far too many families who face financial challenges when their children are receiving cancer treatment. We extend our sincere gratitude to both the Saints and Paramount for raising awareness and funds to help these families travel in search of a cancer cure for their children, with hope for a healthy future," said Michelle Ernsdorff-May, Compass to Care founder and childhood cancer survivor.
Every day, 43 children are diagnosed with cancer. The Saints are hoping to do their part in helping Compass to Care give children the best access to life-saving cancer treatment, regardless of their family's financial situation.
"We are excited to team up with both Compass to Care and Paramount Ambulance in support of such a worthwhile cause," President Nick Shane said. "As an organization we strive to give back to the community that supports us. What better way to give back than to help kids and their families going through cancer treatment."
Fans are encouraged to bring their wands, robes and other magical trinkets to the game and wear gold in support of Childhood Cancer Awareness. The night will be filled with fun for the whole family, with butter beer served at concessions and a live quidditch match during intermission.
