Saint Louis FC remains undefeated at home, ending Sunday night's match in a draw 1-1 against Rio Grande Valley FC.
After a scoreless first half, the pace of the game increased immensely. Rio Grande Valley was first to the goal after Rodriguez crossed to Escalante who connected in the 69th minute.
Irvin Herrera came up big for STLFC after entering the game, scoring a beautiful goal in the 77th minute. He leads the team in scoring with six goals this season.
"Every team needs a guy that they can go to and count on for goals, and right now he [Herrera] is our guy," said Head Coach Dale Schilly.
Saint Louis FC returns to action this Wednesday, June 1 when it hosts Minnesota United FC in the 3rd round of the U.S. Open Cup at 7:00 p.m. cst.
