
Sacramento Republic FC Re-Signs Wilson Kneeshaw

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Sacramento Republic FC have signed a new contract with Wilson Kneeshaw for the 2017 USL season, pending league and federation approval. The forward will commence his first full USL season with Republic FC in 2017.
"Wilson is a very exciting player and showed us last year that he has an eye for the goal," said Republic FC Head Coach and Technical Director Paul Buckle. "He is still fairly young and showed enough positive signs that he can be a big success for us. Next season will be a big one, as he will look to establish himself as a first team regular."
Originally signing with Republic FC on Aug. 11, 2016, Kneeshaw impressed in just five substitute appearances. He scored three goals, tied for fourth-most on the club in 2016. Kneeshaw was also incredibly efficient, taking just four shots to score his three goals. The forward previously played professionally in England and Romania after coming through the ranks of the Middlesbrough FC Academy.
