Sacramento Mountain Lions Not on TV Saturday

Sacramento Mountain Lions News Release
Sacramento, CA - The Sacramento Mountain Lions, of the United Football League, announced today that Saturday's game against the visiting Virginia Destroyers will not be televised. The previous two home games have been on Comcast SportsNet California.
This decision to not televise Saturday's game was based on airtime availability. With Saturday's kickoff set for 4:07 p.m., and Mountain Lions games consistently lasting just over three hours, the game would have likely been still going when the channel switched to NHL Hockey at 7 p.m. (San Jose Sharks vs. St. Louis Blues). Mountain Lions fans would then have been redirected to an alternate channel for the remainder of the game. Thus the Mountain Lions front office decided that it was not in its best interest to air Saturday's game.
Fans in Northern California eager to still see the Mountain Lions take on the unbeaten Destroyers, led by Hall of Fame nominated former NFL head coach MARTY SCHOTTENHEIMER, can get tickets for Saturday's game at www.sacmountainlions.com or by calling 916-383-5466.
Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. at Hornet Stadium and this is the final home game of the season for the Mountain Lions.
