SaberCats name Jack Gorman quality control coach

SAN JOSE, Calif. (Sept. 28, 2005) - The San Jose SaberCats have appointed player personnel assistant Jack Gorman to the newly created position of defensive quality control coach, the club announced today.

A member of the two-time ArenaBowl champion SaberCats' personnel department on two separate occasions, Gorman will assume his new role immediately. He will assist new defensive coordinator Kevin Guy with implementing game plans and schemes as well as break down of game film.

Originally from the Washington D.C. area, Gorman joined the SaberCats' personnel department for the first time for the 2003 season before pursuing other career opportunities. He returned last season in an expanded capacity within the department.

A 2002 graduate from the University of San Francisco Sport Management Master's program, Gorman has worked in the National Football League in various capacities with the Washington Redskins, San Francisco 49ers and San Diego Chargers.
