San Jose SaberCats News Release
SAN JOSE, Calif. - Three weeks after sustaining a frightening injury in a season opening loss to Utah, SaberCats' WR/LB James Roe has been activated from the team's injured reserve list and will be in the lineup Sunday when San Jose plays at Grand Rapids.
A three-time All-Ironman team selection and San Jose's career receptions leader, Roe was injured after catching a touchdown pass on the SaberCats' first offensive possession in their loss to Utah on Jan. 28 and was diagnosed with a mild concussion.
Rookie WR/LB Ben Nelson was placed on injured reserve to make room on the roster for Roe's return.
Sunday's game at Grand Rapids will be televised live in the Bay Area on TV20 at 11:00 a.m. The team's flagship radio station KNBR 1050 will also air the contest live. San Jose has never lost to the Rampage winning all seven series games.
San Jose returns home on Sunday, March 12 to face the Los Angeles Avengers. Season and group tickets for the 2006 season are available by contacting a sales representative at (408) 573-5577. Individual game tickets can be purchased through any Northern California Ticketmaster outlet, online at ticketmaster.com or the HP Pavilion box office.
