
Ryan Edwards named to Top Twenty Prospects in basketball

Davenport, IA- Quad City Riverhawk Ryan Edwards was listed as the 13th ranked minor league basketball players by probasketballnews.com. The 6'5" small forward from Missouri Baptist is averaging 25.1 points per game for Quad City. Edwards is listed as second in the league in scoring only 1.4 ppg behind Maryland's Andrew Washington who is averaging 26.5 ppg.
Probasketballnews.com states, "(Edwards is a) Crafty, fundamentally-sound player who understands how to get open and put the ball in basket." The top 20 consists of players from the PBL, NBA D-League, CBA and ABA. Besides Edwards, two other players from the PBL made the list. Cedric McGinnis (Wilmington Seadogs) and Stanley Thomas (Chicago Throwbacks) ranked tenth and nineteenth respectively.
The Riverhawks return to action tomorrow night taking on the Arkansas Impact. The same two teams meet this last Sunday with the Riverhawks winning 131-124. The Riverhawks play one more on the road against Dallas on Sunday.
