Quad City Riverhawks News Release
The Tip Off
The Quad City Riverhawks went 3-0 this past week with two wins on the road over Reading and Rockford and a victory at home over Arkansas. The Riverhawks enter the second half of the season in first place with a one game lead over Arkansas. The second half of the season starts on Saturday with the first of two road games this weekend against Arkansas and Dallas.
Riverhawks Down Railers
Reading, PA- The Quad City Riverhawks over came committing sixty fouls to top the Reading Railers 124-122 in overtime. Bobby Anderson lead Quad City with a double double of 30 points and 10 rebounds while Ryan Edwards chipped in 30 points. The Riverhawks over came a four point deficit with 30seconds left in over time to get the win.
Quad City Notches Second Win Over Fury
Rockford, IL- The Quad City Riverhawks defeated the Rockford Fury for the second this season on Saturday 107-106. Keith Gaydon (16 pts./12 rebs.), John Jackson (10 pts./11 rebs.), Willie Mitchell (19 pts./11 rebs.) and Bobby Anderson (11 pts./ 14 rebs.) all tallied double doubles in the victory.
Riverhawks Win Leads to First Place
Rockford, IL- A 131-124 win over the Arkansas
Impact help Quad City end the first half in first place. The Riverhawks jumped out to a quick lead in the first quarter but could not hold the lead in a game that went back and forth throughout the contest. Ryan Edwards led four different Riverhawks scoring at least 20 points by dropping in 26. With the win Quad City avenged their first loss of the season to the Impact.
Looking Forward...
This week the Riverhawks are on the road. First is a rematch Saturday against Arkansas. So far the teams have split the season series 1-1. Sunday Quad City looks to get offensive verses the Dallas Defenders. QC is also
1-1 against Dallas.
February 23 is Mercer County YMCA Night
Quad City Riverhawks G.M. is happy to
announce that the February 23rd game against the Chicago Throwbacks will be Mercer County YMCA Night. Teams from the YMCA will be providing halftime entertainment. Members of the Mercer County YMCA can purchase tickets for $2 by calling Eric Hutchins at (309)251-0182.
On February 24th the Riverhawks are offering a ticket special for church goers. Bring in your church's bulletin from that week and receive a buy one ticket get one free ticket offer.

Riverhawks to Host Brandon Ballard Night
The Quad City Riverhawks will be hosting "Brandon Ballard Night" at historic Wharton Field House on Saturday, March 15th.
Proceeds from tickets sold through Rockridge High School or in advance from the
Riverhawks will be donated to the family to help offset medical expenses. Tickets are $5 with $3 being donated. TO purchase tickets call Rockridge Athletic Director Jeff Flater at (309)795-1736 or Riverhawks General
Manager Eric Hutchins at (309)251-0182. A 50/50 raffle will also be held with proceeds going to the family as well.
Brandon was diagnosed with cancer and is currently undergoing chemotherapy
treatments.
PBL Announces Showcase
The Premier Basketball league will be hosting the "Triple "S" Super Scouting Showcase the weekend of March 3rd at Attack Athletics in Chicago. All ten PBL teams will participate in front of scouts from across the world. For more information visit the PBL Website at www.pblproball.com.
