Rush Appearance Tonight at Summer Nights

(Rapid City, SD) - The Rapid City Rush would like to invite fans out to Summer Nights in downtown Rapid City tonight from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Newly re-signed Rush players Gio Flamminio and Jamie VanderVeeken will be in attendance to sign autographs from 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm. The Rush booth will be located on Seventh Street and will offer at no cost Rapid City Rush temporary tattoos, hula hoops with instructions by the Rushettes, and a shooter tutor for fans to test their hockey skills. Nugget will also be making appearance this evening at the Rush tent on Seventh Street in downtown Rapid City. Rapid City Rush will be there from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm.
RUSHETTES TO MAKE APPEARANCE AT BLACK HILLS CHILDREN'S HOME ON SATURDAY
The Rapid City Rush Rushettes will be making an appearance Saturday afternoon at 1:30 pm at the Black Hills Children's Home. The Rushettes will be teaching Zumba Kids to a select group of children. Zumba Kids is a Latin inspired dance workout. Through the movements of hip hop, salsa, chacha, merengue, and more, one will learn the basic steps of these dances and get an exceptional workout. Zumba Kids offers children a unique form of exercise in a nontraditional setting. Rushettes Head Coach and Choreographer Teresa Rathbun will be leading the session and offers Zumba Kids at her dance fitness studio Stretch Studio in downtown Rapid City.
"It is a special treat for these kids when outside groups volunteer to share their time and special talents," said Theresa Schreiner, Volunteer and Development Coordinator.
In addition to a safe, loving, healthy home environment, Black Hills Children's Home provides educational services through a fully accredited school located on campus. The year-round school provides additional stability and opportunities to heal, learn and grow for these children.

The Rapid City Rush will be co-hosting a Rapid City Rush Foundation Community Picnic Saturday, August 29th from 12 pm to 3 pm at Memorial Park. The picnic is open to the public and will offer food and refreshments, various activities and a live and silent auction. A $5 donation is encouraged.
