Mohegan Wolves News Release
NEW LONDON, C.T. (April 9th, 2002)- Friday night April 12th, when the Wolves take on the Norfolk Nighthawks at the world-class Mohegan Sun Arena, those attending will be in the presence of royalty.
World Wrestling Federation star Jerry "The King" Lawler will be present to partake in pre-game festivities as well as the honorary coin toss. Photos will be on sale in the arena concourse for "The King" to sign at halftime. Jerry "The King" Lawler is simultaneously one of the most loved and hated men in pro wrestling. He is loved in Memphis, TN, where he has been a hometown hero and devoted resident all his life. But he is despised in the WWF, where his arrogant, egotistical attitude got him into feuds with former WWF champ Bret Hart and federation head Vince McMahon. He may be best known for his feuds with comedian Andy Kaufman.
