Kelowna, BC - The Victoria Royals scored a shorthanded goal and a power play marker as they won their first game on home ice of the year as they defeated the Prince George Cougars 2-1. Keanu Derungs' second period power play goal was the difference on the scoreboard, and goaltender Adam Evanoff stopped 33 of Prince George's 34 shots.

LOOKING FOR 50: Goaltender Adam Evanoff is one win shy of 50 for his WHL career. The 20-year-old Penticton native earned 39 wins as a member of the Moose Jaw Warriors between the 2017-18 & 2019-20 seasons. He has collected 10 wins since joining the Royals on Jan 10, 2020.
POWERFUL PLAY: Royals forward Keanu Derungs has done all his damage on the offensive end with the man advantage this year. In nine games this year he has totaled four goals and two assists all coming on the power play.
MILESTONE: 20-year-old forward Brandon Cutler played in his 150th game as a Royal on Saturday night. For his career the Spruce Grove native has competed in a combined 256 games with the Royals and the Red Deer Rebels.
