Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL today announced that Radio Recon, the team's weekly coach's show, will once again be based at The Works at Wyomissing, southeastern Pennsylvania's premier food and fun complex. The one-hour radio talk show, which will run on Tuesday nights from 6 - 7 pm and will air live on ESPN Radio 1240 am, will kick off on Tuesday, October 16, 2007, in conjunction with the seventh annual "Royals At Your Service Charity Dinner"-when the Royals' players will don "waiters' aprons" and break out their best moves to serve our fans and raise "tips" for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Pennsylvania®, Pottsville Regional Office.

The AYS Charity dinner, which will be served from 5 until 8 pm in the second floor lounge area of The Works, will feature a buffet-style entrée option of hibachi steak or chicken cordon bleu with sides of cheddar broccoli mashed potatoes and broccolini. Beverages served with the meal include tea, coffee, sodas and water. The cost of this mouth watering meal-served with a smile (even if missing a tooth or two here or there)-is only $25 for season ticket holders and $30 for non-season ticket holders. Children under twelve are just $15. Space is somewhat limited, and reservations are required. Please call Brenna Temple in the Royals' office (610-898-7311) for more information and to make your reservations.

Of course, while fans are enjoying the meal and service at the AYS Dinner, they can also help spice things up during the inaugural airing of Radio Recon for the 2007-08 season by peppering Head Coach Karl Taylor-and at least two of the team's players-with questions. The show itself, which will be hosted by Royals' broadcaster Mark Thompson, will take place in the same location as last year-the Crane Rail Bar on the second floor of The Works-and will include Brian Pannuci on the wireless microphone soliciting fan interaction, as well as trivia questions and giveaways.

Founded in 2003, the Works at Wyomissing (1109 Bern Road, Wyomissing, PA; 610-375-2700) is housed in what was once a historic foundry that has been renovated into a 33,000 square foot state of the art dining and entertainment facility. The Works offers a unique blend of welcoming hospitality, quality food and refreshments, and outstanding games and recreation. The Works' expansive facility offers a full range of eating and drinking preferences, from the dramatic main dining room to cozy lounges and lively barrooms.
