Royals' Playoff Tickets on Sale Monday

Victoria, BC - The Victoria Royals are excited to announce that single game tickets for the 2012 WHL Playoffs will go on-sale Monday, March 12 at 9:30 a.m. at the Select Your Tickets box office located at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre, online at selectyourtickets.com or over the phone at (250)220-7777.

The Royals' playoff game dates, opponents and start times are all to be determined. Only tickets to the first two home games of the playoffs will be made available at this time.

Victoria currently sits in seventh place in the WHL's Western Conference with 47 points, one point up on the eighth-place Everett Silvertips and three points clear of the ninth-ranked Seattle Thunderbirds. The top eight teams in the conference qualify for the playoffs, which begin on Friday, March 23.

Victoria's season ticket holders and the general public can still purchase playoff ticket packages that guarantee their same regular season seat for all playoff games at a discounted rate until March 9th. Season ticket holders that can't commit to the entire playoff run have the opportunity to buy single game playoff tickets to the Royals' first two home games in advance of the general public starting today. Full details will be sent out via email to season ticket holders.

Group rates for playoff tickets are also available, starting as low as $10 per ticket.

The release coincides with a 'special edition' Playoff Mad Monday, where a limited amount of $6 tickets to the first two home playoff games will be released. Fans can also take advantage of the Mad Monday offer for the Royals' final homestand of the season against the Portland Winterhawks on Wednesday, March 14 and Friday, March 16. Although Wednesday's game is already sold out, a limited number of Mad Monday tickets will be made available. Puck drop for both games is set for 7:05 p.m.
