
Royals Announce Training Camp Roster

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League and the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League, today announced the team's 2009-10 Training Camp Roster. The Royals Training Camp Roster, which includes eleven forwards, nine defensemen, and two goaltenders, is set out below. In transactions also announced today, defensemen Jared Ross and Scott Fletcher have been assigned by the Providence Bruins of the AHL to the Royals. The Royals also signed forward Jim Gehring, defenseman Matt Harris, and goaltender Shane Davis to Tryout Agreements.
Royals' Pre-Season Training Camp will begin on-ice practice sessions tomorrow, Friday, October 2, 2009, at 10:00 am at the Sovereign Center in Reading, Pennsylvania. Royals' Pre-Season Training Camp will continue through Tuesday, October 13, and all on-ice practice sessions are open to the public. With one exception, all Training Camp on-ice practice sessions will be held at the Sovereign Center. That one exception is on the second day of Training Camp-Saturday, October 3-when the team will head to the Body Zone Sports and Wellness Complex (3130 Paper Mill Road, Wyomissing 19610; 610-376-2100; www.bodyzonesports.com), for practice and a brand new event: Fans' Photo Day. That day, the Royals' on-ice practice session is scheduled from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm. Then, beginning at 1:30 pm and continuing until 3:00 pm, in a specially designated area within the Body Zone, all of the Royals' players will be available to meet, greet and have their photo taken with fans. Please note that fans should bring their own cameras to take photographs during the Fans' Photo Day event. The Royals Pre-Season Training Camp schedule is also set forth below.

Opening Day Roster Announced (Approximately 5:00 pm):
The Royals open the 2009-10 ECHL season on Thursday, October 15, 2009 (7:05 pm) when the Kalamazoo Wings make their first visit ever to the Sovereign Center in Reading, Pennsylvania.
