Brockton Rox News Release

The Brockton Rox officially announced the team's 2008 schedule today, with one glaring omission: a traveling team. The 94-game schedule which includes 47 home dates now includes a second Canadian city and province, Ottawa, Ontario. The addition of Ottawa means the league will not have a traveling team as it did in 2007. The Can-Am League this year will consist of the Brockton Rox, Atlantic City Surf, Nashua Pride, New Jersey Jackals, Sussex Skyhawks, Quebec Capitales, Worcester Tornadoes, and Ottawa.

The Rox open the 2008 season in New Hampshire against the Nashua Pride on Thursday, May 22nd. The 2008 Home Opener is Saturday, May 24th against the Pride. When the gates open on May 24th, the Rox will welcome the 1,000,000th fan to Campanelli Stadium. Opening Night will feature a special fireworks show.

"It's a great tribute to the loyalty of the Brockton fans that we can reach this milestone in such a short time span," noted Rox Owner Van Schley.

The Rox play 12 of their first 17 games on the road, but play five of the first seven at home. The Rox are introducing several new promotions for 2008, including a Saturday Night Concert Series. The Saturday Night Concert Series features a free post game concert after every Saturday night home game with the exception of Opening Night. Saturday night game times will be pushed back to 6:05 PM to accommodate the post game concerts. Also new in 2008, Kids Eat Free on Monday night. The Rox will offer a special ticket package for families on Monday nights which will include a voucher for the concession stand. Monday night game times will also roll back to 6:05 PM.

Weekends at Campanelli Stadium will include the popular favorites, Friday Night Fireworks and Sunday Family FUNdays. The Rox play 23 of their 47 home games on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. A complete promotional schedule will be released in the spring.

2008 Ticket prices at Campanelli Stadium are as follows: Box seats - $9, Reserve seats - $7, and Grandstand seats - $5. Groups of 25 or more will receive a discounted ticket. Call to reserve your group outing today.

Brockton Rox holiday ticket packages are currently available. The Holiday Package includes a limited edition Rox holiday ornament and a Flex Pack, a booklet of ten undated vouchers good for a Box seat at any Rox home game. In addition to the Holiday Package, Brockton Rox 10-game Mini plans, group outings, luxury suites, and season tickets are now on sale. Call the Rox at (509) 559-7000 or visit the Rox website for more information or to order tickets.
