ODESSA, TX. The Odessa Roughnecks played the Rome Renegades on Saturday, in a game that that prove to be the Roughnecks biggest test of heart and composure of the season.
In a Coliseum that was to hot for the even the fans, Odessa met up with a Rome team the refused to be denied. Scoring on the first drive of the game the Renegades where determined to make a statement. Rome Continued to turn up the heat on the Roughnecks by matching them score for score, and defensive stop for defensive stop refusing to quit.
But the Championship caliber Odessa Roughnecks showed why they are currently sitting at 13-0 by having a answer for everything Rome threw at them.
You can catch your 13-0 Odessa Roughnecks in action this Saturday June 25, 2005 at the Ector County Coliseum, where the Roughnecks will take on the Beaumont Drillers. The pre game festivities begin at 5:00 PM with the tailgate party and kickoff is at 7:11 PM.
