Roughnecks to hold tryout

Odessa, TX: As a reminder, the Odessa Roughnecks will be holding their first open tryout for the upcoming 2006 campaign. Pro football hopefuls should contact the Roughnecks offices to register for this combine style workout which will be held at Hood Junior High School in Odessa tomorrow morning, Saturday, November 19th. Registration will begin at 8:00 AM and athletes are to arrive wearing athletic clothing and shoes. A $40 cash fee is required. This event is open to the public.
Additionally, team President Tommy Benizio and Interim Coach Kenny Thompson will be announcing the signing of three key players from the 2005 undefeated season at 10:30 AM sharp. Included will be a quarterback, wide receiver and a runningback, and each will be on hand to talk about their re-joining the team. Benizio will also update the media on the hunt for a championship quality coach.
