
Roughnecks QB Arkelon Hall Named IFL Offensive Player of the Week

MIDLAND, TX. : The West Texas Roughnecks are pleased to announce on Wednesday, April 27 that the Indoor Football League has named Roughnecks' QB Arkelon Hall Vidswap.com Offensive Player of the Week for week 10 of the 2011 regular season. In the Roughnecks previous match-up versus the Amarillo Venom back on Saturday, April 23 Hall completed 19 of 27 passes for 281 yards, and recorded six total touchdowns (four passing, two rushing) in the 66-23 win over the Venom.
In eight games played this season Hall (6'0", 220 lbs.) has thrown for 1,215 yards with 28 touchdown passes including four rushing touchdowns. Hall currently ranks seventh in the IFL in yards passing and tied for third among all IFL quarterbacks in touchdown passes.
Prior to his first season with the Roughnecks, Hall played collegiately at Memphis where he threw for 2,275 yards with 12 touchdowns in 2008. Hall was one of three players nationally to throw, catch, and rush for a touchdown during the 2008 season. Hall finished 69th nationally in total passing yards and 50th in passing yards per game (206.8) following the 2008 season.
Following their final bye week of the 2011 regular season, the Roughnecks will travel to Arizona to face the Adrenaline on Saturday, May 7.
