Roughnecks Host Fresno and Juan Caffa on Saturday
July 26, 2018 - United Soccer League Championship (USL)
FC Tulsa News Release
The Tulsa Roughnecks FC return to ONEOK Field for the first time in nearly a month when it hosts Fresno FC on Saturday, July 28. It will be Scarf Night with the first 1,000 fans entering through the Arvest Gate receiving "Vamos Tulsa" scarves courtesy of Tedford and Associates, FOX23 and Mix96.5. Kickoff for the match is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. in downtown Tulsa.
In addition, kids will have an opportunity to sharpen their soccer skills with the Roughnecks players in a Youth Soccer Clinic. The Arvest Gate will open at 6:00 p.m. for the Youth Clinic and scarf giveaway, and it will run from 6:15 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Saturday's match will mark the second and final meeting of the regular season between the Roughnecks and Fresno FC, a USL expansion team. On April 18, the two sides played to a 2-2 draw as the Roughnecks netted the tie goal in second-half stoppage time.
The game is the first of three straight home matches for the Roughnecks and will mark the return of Juan Pablo Caffa to Tulsa. Caffa spent the 2017 USL season with the Roughnecks, scoring nine goals. The free-kick specialist has missed six matches this season due to injury, but has still scored seven times.
It will be TRFC's fifth match under new head coach Michael Nsien. Tulsa has gone 1-1-2 in the previous four games.
The match will mark the Tulsa debut of new Roughnecks player Isaac Diaz. Diaz came on as a second-half substitute in last weekend's match, playing a role in Tulsa's second goal.
Tickets for Saturday's match are available online, over the phone at (918) 744-5901 or in person at the stadium ticket office. Youth players who wear their team's jersey can obtain any level ticket in the seating bowl or on the grass berm for just $5.
Fans in Tulsa who are unable to attend this weekend's matches can still watch the action live on Cox YurView channel 1333.
The match will also be streamed live on ESPN+ for fans with a subscription to the service.
NOTE: Fans who attended the June 30 match at ONEOK Field were given the opportunity to redeem their ticket stubs for free tickets to a future match after weather cancelled the post-match fireworks show. It was announced that night that our next Fireworks Show would take place on July 28, but in fact the next Fireworks Show will occur after the match on September 15. Any fans who redeemed their tickets for this July 28 match are now invited to redeem those tickets for the September 15 match, free of charge. That exchange can be made at the July 28 match.
