West Texas Roughnecks News Release
ODESSA, TX. : The Odessa Roughnecks are coming off of a tough loss as they look to build on last weekend's game in Corpus Christi where they put up a heck of a fight, but came up short as the Hammerheads won by 6. The week before, Walter Washington was awarded Offensive Player of the week. They will have this Cinco de Mayo weekend off. However, if you have that "I gotta have Roughnecks" craving, you can stop by the Ector County Coliseum and visit the Sammy Gonzales / The Connection Booth this weekend at Fiesta West Texas and visit with the team, dance team, and Digger.
The team has been building its' momentum in the past week with a lot of positive changes. "Despite our current record we look to rebound well, there has been some minor changes made, and hopefully that will be the missing piece to the puzzle" stated Head Coach Chris Williams. The Roughnecks take the field again next weekend in Belton against a 1-2 Centex team that lost to the Katy Roughriders 58-38 this past weekend.
The Roughnecks are taking applications for groups, you can call them at (432)332-PASS (7277) for rates and information. So get your group together and come out for a fun family action packed evening at the Rough House.
