ODESSA, TX. : Make your plans now to be at a Roughnecks game starting in March. Today the 2008 IFL schedule was released. The Roughnecks kick off on March 15th against the CenTex Barracudas (exhibition). This year there are a total of nine teams competing for the coveted trophy with teams in Odessa, San Angelo, Belton, Corpus Christi, Katy, Frisco, Lake Charles, LA., Anchorage, AK., and the newest arrival Fairbanks, AK. All of the Roughnecks home games will be on a Saturday this year. The regular season kicks off with the Roughnecks trekking to the frozen tundra for the first of two Alaskan games. "This season looks to be one of the best in years. Everyone knows who the team to beat is going to be, so we will gladly accept the challenge." stated Head Coach Chris Williams. So get your pom poms and megaphones dusted off; the 2008 season is now a reality.
