Soo Greyhounds News Release

Soo Greyhounds General Manager Kyle Dubas announced today that the team has hired RICHARD ROTENBERG as the team's new Athletic Therapist.

Rotenberg replaces outgoing Therapist Chris Linder, who recently accepted a position with the AHL's Abbotsford Heat.

Richard joins the Hounds after previously working with the past three seasons with the OHL's Barrie Colts (2008-2011). The Toronto, ON native comes to the Greyhounds with a Master's in Physiotherapy and Bachelors in Kinesiology along with holding certification as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist.

While with the Hounds Rotenberg will be responsible for the assessment, treatment and management of all player injuries, off-ice strength and conditioning, and working with hockey operations staff for all games, practices and road trips.

"I would like to thank the Soo Greyhounds organization for the opportunity to join such a storied franchise and I am thrilled to join a team of such well regarded people. I am extremely excited to become part of the Sault Ste. Marie community and contribute to the development of individuals and a team that our fans will be proud of" commented Rotenberg.

Richard will join the Hounds in the coming weeks and prepare for Training Camp 2011, which opens on Wednesday, August 31st with registration.
