GRAND CHUTE, WI - The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers arrive in Appleton this afternoon to begin final preparation for the 2016 season. The team that is coming to town is an exciting mix of Milwaukee Brewers prospects, a group of 2015 Brewers draft picks, and players returning from last year's squad.
Here is a look at the 2016 Timber Rattlers:
PITCHERS (14): David Burkhalter, Miguel Diaz, Marcos Diplan, Jake Drossner, Nathan Griep, Scott Grist, Conor Harber, David Lucroy, Drake Owenby, Freddy Peralta, Jon Perrin, Quintin Torres-Costa, Christian Trent, and Jordan Yamamoto.
INFIELDERS (6): Luis Aviles, Isan Diaz, Jake Gatewood, Sthervin Matos, Tucker Neuhaus, and Alan Sharkey.
OUTFIELDERS (5): Carlos Belonis, David Denson, Monte Harrison, Elvis Rubio, and Troy Stokes
CATCHERS (3): Mitch Ghelfi, Max McDowell, Natanael Mejia
There are 28 players on this initial roster. There will be three moves made before April 7 to get down to the Midwest League's 25-player limit for Opening Day.
A closer look at this roster finds five players that have been placed on MLB Pipeline's list of the Top 30 Prospects in the Brewers organization. These top Milwaukee prospects are: Harrison (#11), Gatewood (#12), Isan Diaz (#16), Diplan (#24), and Miguel Diaz (#27).
Harrison and Gatewood are two of eleven players on this roster who played for the Timber Rattlers in 2015. The other nine players are: Aviles, Burkhalter, Denson, Neuhaus, Matos, Mejia, Perrin, Rubio, and Sharkey.
Perrin, who was selected in the 27th round of the 2015 draft out of Oklahoma State University, will be joined by ten members of his Brewers draft class on this roster. The other 2015 draft picks of the Brewers are: Drossner (10th, University of Maryland), Ghelfi (28th, UW-Milwaukee), Griep (8th, Kansas State University), Grist (38th, Texas State University), Harber (16th, University of Oregon), Lucroy (20th, East Carolina University), McDowell (13th, University of Connecticut), Owenby (12th, University of Tennessee), Torres-Costa (35th, University of Hawaii), and Trent (24th, University of Mississippi).
The Timber Rattlers will begin the 2016 season at Beloit on Thursday, April 7. Wisconsin's home opener is Saturday, April 9 at 4:05pm against the Beloit Snappers.
Tickets for the 2016 Timber Rattlers Home Opener are going fast. Club seating, patio tables, and the AYCE section on the first base line are sold out and there is a limited number of box seats available for this game.

Full season, partial season, and group ticket packages are currently available for the 2016 season. Tickets packages are available online, over the phone at (920) 733-4152 or (800) WI-TIMBER and in person. Groups of 20 or more may order tickets over the phone or in person. Individual game tickets for the 2016 season are on sale now. The Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium Box Office is open from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm Monday through Friday and from 10:00am to 3:00pm on Saturday.
