Roots Announce Open Tryouts for the 2022 Season

Oakland Roots will host open tryouts ahead of the team's Fall Season. There will be two tryout dates: December 12th and January 16th. These tryouts will take place at Merritt College in Oakland, California from 8am-5pm.

12/12/21 - Arrival is 7am with tryouts happening from 8 AM-5 PM

1/16/22 - Arrival is 7am with tryouts happening from 8 AM-5 PM

Register

The tryout will be limited availability so sign up early. Players can register in advance via the Eventbrite link above. The cost will be $75 per person to ensure attendance on the date registered.

Each player will receive a complementary Roots shirt and lunch. Plus, other local professional and top amateur clubs will be in attendance to scout.

IMPORTANT - All players must be fully-vaccinated against COVID-19. Please submit proof of vaccination upon arrival at the tryout via a vaccination card. On the day of the event, before entering the field, each participant must also take a COVID 19 symptom check.
