Richmond Roosters News Release

RICHMOND, Indiana --- The Richmond Roosters, two-time Frontier League champions, take sports and entertainment seriously.

So much so, team Vice-President/General Manager; Deanna Beaman announced today that the ballclub would show support for pop-star Michael Jackson this summer - during his time of need.

"We'll invite anyone named Michael Jackson free to Don McBride Stadium this summer for any Roosters' home game, provided he's a Rooster fan," Beaman said.

Checking the Richmond-area phone directory, even if Jackson had a slew of fans, only four Jackson's show up in print. The directory shows an M. Jackson, and M.R. Jackson, a Mic Jackson and a Michael and Deborah Jackson.

"Maybe for more support and more of a crowd we should invite all Michael's in for free as well," Beaman noted after learning of the four Jackson's that appear in the Richmond directory.

Jackson is currently on trial for seven counts of malicious conduct with minors and two counts of serving alcohol with minors.

"Perhaps we'll have the Jackson's seated in the non-alcohol section away from the kids," Beaman said.
