Roosters have a new voice

Richmond Roosters News Release


The Richmond Roosters announce today the hiring of their Director of Media Relations, Scott Leo, who will also serve as the play-by-play announcer for the upcoming Richmond Roosters 10th Anniversary Season.

Scott is a native of Kettering, Ohio. In 2001, he graduated from Sinclair College with an Associate of Arts degree in Communications. He graduates from Wright State University in June with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications with an emphasis in Broadcasting and Public Relations and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology.

Scott has been the voice of Wittenberg University (Springfield, Ohio) the past two seasons for baseball, men's and women's basketball and softball. He was also play-by-play broadcaster of college sports telecasts for Wright State University, Central State University and Wittenberg University games as well as the Columbus Destroyers of the Arena Football League.

"Scott brings to Roosters Baseball much enthusiasm, energy and knowledge. We look forward to having Scott as a part of our team. Through Scott's experience, he will bring Richmond Roosters Baseball in a professional and energetic way to our fans," said Vice President/General Manager Deanna Beaman.

The Roosters open up their season on May 21st at home against the Chillicothe Paints. All 96 games can be heard on the Roosters Radio Network; WKBV 1490 AM, WCNB 1580 AM and Star 98.3 FM. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at Don McBride Stadium or by calling the Roosters office at 765-935-PLAY.
