Rooster Run Coming To McBride Stadium

Richmond, Indiana – It promises to be one of the best weekends of the year when the "Rooster Run" comes to Richmond on Friday, May 27th. A vintage car "Cruise In" will be held at McBride Stadium leading up to the Roosters game against the Florence Freedom. The game will be immediately followed by Rowdy's Fireworks Display. Other game night activities include live music, refreshments, and autographs from Roosters players and Rowdy!

"This is a great event to incorporate with our season opening series" said Roosters General Manager Deanna Beaman, "It will be a fun weekend for everyone."

Following the baseball game on May 27th, the car activities begin at the Wayne County Fairgrounds on Saturday at 8:00am. There will be a Doo-Wop concert from 4:00pm to 6:00pm featuring three bands. The daily car show activities include a YMCA craft show, swap meet, mascots, and prize give-a-ways. The award ceremony will take place on Sunday, May 29th at 2:00pm at the fairgrounds.

It will be a weekend of cars, baseball, fireworks, and live music to entertain spectators thanks to the "Vintage Wheels", "Fuel Injectors", and "Over the Hill Gang" car clubs. "Rooster Run" sponsors include Meijer, Coca-Cola, Reid Hospital, and Kicks 96.

The Roosters will begin the 2005 Frontier League season on Wednesday, May 25th against Florence. The season opening three game series concludes with the "Rooster Run" on May 27th and game time is scheduled for 6:35pm.
