Rookie Perry Recalled to San Antonio

PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. - The Arizona Sundogs of the Central Hockey League, in conjunction with triple-A affiliate the San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League, announced Monday that forward Adam Perry has been recalled to the AHL club.

Perry earned CHL All-Rookie Honors was named a finalist for CHL Rookie of the Year, finishing as the second-leading scorer for Arizona and fourth among rookies with 56 points in 45 contests.

The Peterborough, Ontario native ranked fifth among CHL rookies with 23 goals while his 33 assists were good enough for fourth-best, despite having played in no less than 10 fewer games than other first-year scoring leaders.

Perry was named Oakley/CHL Player of the Week for the period ending Feb. 1 after registering eight points (5g/3a) in three games against the Rocky Mountain Rage in late-January. The 22-year-old garnered his first-ever professional hat trick with a four-point effort in a 4-2 win over the Rage on Jan. 28.

The 5-foot-11, 185-pound forward has appeared in 11 games in two prior stints with the Rampage this season, tallying one goal, two assists and 19 penalty minutes (PIM), including the game-winning tally in a 2-1 win over the Rochester Americans on Feb. 8.

Perry was first assigned to the Sundogs by the Rampage on Nov. 18.
