Minot Skyrockets News Release

Minot, ND - Minot Skyrockets' player Ronnie Fields was arrested early Friday morning. Fields remained behind in Minot due to injury while the Skyrockets were traveling on the road to Albany at the time of his arrest. Therefore, he hasn't played in a game since his arrest.

"We regret the inconvenience this arrest has caused the community of Minot," said Joe Clark, CEO and Managing Partner of Apex Sportstainment, which owns three teams in the CBA, including the Minot Skyrockets. "This is an unfortunate situation. As with all allegations of a criminal nature, our policy is to await the outcome of a judicial proceeding before taking any action. We do not anticipate making further comments during the pendency of the judicial process. In the meantime, however, we have placed Fields on inactive reserve. He is no longer on the team payroll and is off the team roster until further notice."

"We are a professional organization and expect our players to conduct themselves accordingly," said Skyrockets' Head Coach Chris Daleo. "We are very fortunate to be here in Minot with all the support the fans and the businesses have given us. We want to be here and strive to be a positive member of the community. Despite this incident, we will continue to move forward with the rest of the season and look forward to a successful playoff run in our first year."
