
Rome Braves to Host GHSA Baseball State Championship Series

The Rome Braves announce today that the Georgia High School Association Baseball State Championship Series will be held at two neutral sites in 2017. Rome's State Mutual Stadium, home of the Rome Braves, and Golden Park in Columbus will serve as the host sites in May 2017.
"The Rome Braves are happy to showcase State Mutual Stadium, the city of Rome, and Floyd County for the High School state baseball championship," says Rome Braves General Manager Michael Dunn. "We look forward to showcasing our facility to teams from around the state while welcoming them to Northwest Georgia."
The format will be one game per classification per day at each site. The second game of the series will be played the following day with a third game (if needed), played on the final day. The championships are scheduled for May 25-27, 2017. Ticket information will announced at a later date.
