Rogues Swept by Harbourcats

MEDFORD, OR - The Medford Rogues and the Victoria Harbourcats faced off again in game three at Harry and David Field. Both teams scored a run in the first inning, and no more runs crossed the plate until the seventh inning when Victoria plated four runs, making it a 5-1 game. The Rogues were unable to rally in the late innings and Victoria completed the sweep, taking game three 5-1. Medford looks to their next home series against the Kitsap BlueJackets, starting with Military Appreciation Night.

The Medford Rogues will be honoring all service men and women and veterans at Military Appreciation Night at Harry and David Field, Thursday, July 16 when the Kitsap BlueJackets come to Medford. With pregame festivities and military traditions planned to take place, first pitch will be at 6:35pm. Military members will receive a free bleacher ticket with proof of military ID, while supplies last.

For the first time in franchise history, the Rogues will be wearing special edition theme jerseys for the night. Throughout the game, the camo jerseys will be auctioned off through a silent auction and awarded to the successful bidders post game. The funds raised will go to benefit military support charities.

Before the first pitch, there will a pregame 'Salute to the Veterans' march around the outfield on the warning track to honor the men and women who have served in the armed forces. The march will include veterans and active military members from all over Oregon. They will be joined by a military services honor guard who will present the colors, followed by a moment a silence before the National Anthem.

The POW/MIA will also be commemorated with an honorary seat and table left open to pay tribute to them. The seat will be donned with a soldier's boots, fatigues and flag in order to pay respect to all the fallen soldiers.

Various nonprofit veteran agencies from Southern Oregon will be on site for the game as well. Fans can visit their booth and setups before, during and after the game to learn more information about their agencies.

Gates will open early at 4pm in time for batting practice at 4:15pm. Concessions will also be open at that time for fans to purchase food and drinks before the game. The beer garden will open at normal time, one hour before first pitch. It will also be Thirsty Thursday, with Pepsi, Aquafina and SOB drinks only $2.

The Medford Rogues is a wood-bat collegiate summer baseball team, in the West Coast League. The WCL is a 12-team league that includes teams from both the US and Canada, ranging from Medford, Oregon to Kelowna, British Columbia.
