Rocky Mountain Rage News Release

LAST WEEK'S RECORD: 1-2-0 OVERALL RECORD: 3-6-2, 8 pts., 4th Place Northwest Division

Nov. 14 vs. Wichita Thunder, 5-2 Win - Assistant captain Nick Warriner recorded the franchise's first five-point game (2g-3a) and tied a league season-high with a +5 rating as the Rage cruised to remain undefeated at home.

Nov. 17 vs. Colorado Eagles, 4-3 Loss - The Rage spotted the Eagles a 4-1 lead after two periods in the first game of a weekend home-and-home set between the two Front Range rivals. But Rocky Mountain came storming back early in the third behind goals from Mark Wires and Bret DeCecco to pull within one. Despite great pressure in the waning moments with goaltender David Guererra pulled in favor of an extra attacker, though, the Rage suffered their first loss at home.

Nov. 18 @ Colorado Eagles, 6-0 Loss - Rocky Mountain was shutout for the second time this season as the Eagles took a 2-1 edge in the Rocky Mountain Rivalry season series.

NOTES

Anders Strome leads the Rage in both goals (7) and assists (11) with four different players beginning the week tied for second behind Strome in the team scoring race with eight points apiece. Dorian Anneck, Nick Warriner, and Mark Wires all have four goals and four assists, and Kyle Kos is the team's leader in scoring among defensemen with one goal and seven assists.

The Rage's games at Amarillo and Colorado this week conclude a stretch of 10 road games in their first 13 games overall to open their inaugural season.

Although it's only been three games, the team's offense has been much more productive at home than on the road. Home-ice advantage vs. life on the road has improved the Rage's power play totals (19.0% vs. 7.5%), shot margin (+9 vs. -10), goals per game (4.33 vs. 2.00), and, of course, winning percentage (.667 vs. .250).
