Wilmington Blue Rocks News Release

Wilmington, DE - The Wilmington Blue Rocks and IFS are teaming up once again to present the 2008 IFS Outstanding Student Program. This program rewards students for outstanding achievements in and out of the classroom. Schools that participate in the program are asked to nominate students who they feel are "Outstanding Students". An "Outstanding Student" is a student who not only meets, but goes above and beyond the expectations of their teachers, classmates and superiors.

"Outstanding Students" may do this by volunteering, showing good manners, continually putting in an extra effort into assignments, or just by being exemplary students. Those students will receive a free ticket to a designated game along with a complimentary hot dog and drink. The "Outstanding Students" will also be recognized by IFS during an on-field ceremony field prior to the game.

If you are interested in getting your school involved in the IFS Outstanding Student Program, please call Blue Rocks director of community relations Dave Arthur at 302-888-5357, or visit http://www.bluerocks.com/comm-school.php and scroll down to "IFS Outstanding Student".

The Blue Rocks kick off their 2008 season on April 4 at 7:05 p.m. when they take on the Myrtle Beach Pelicans (Atlanta Braves) at Frawley Stadium. Reserve your tickets today by calling 302-888-BLUE (2583).
