Saturday night the Casper Rockies got another solid pitching performance from Jay Metzger and beat the Billings Mustangs 6-2 at Lansing Field. Metzger went five innings for the Rockies allowing just two hits and one run, improving to 3-0 on the season.
Offensively for the Rockies, Corey Wimberly, Trevor Allen, Chris Cook, and Radames Nazario all collected two hits. Allen and Cook both drove in two runs as well. Wimberly and Eric Young Jr. created havoc on the base paths with five combined stolen bases for Casper.
The Mustangs and Rockies finish the three-game set with a 5:05 game time. Anuery Rodriguez starts for Casper versus Logan Ondrusek for Billings.
