RockHounds Return Home Friday, Tied 1-1 With The Missions
September 11, 2009 - Texas League (TL1)
Midland RockHounds News Release
The RockHounds returned to Citibank Ballpark late Thursday night to begin preparations for Game 3 of the best of five divisional series. The Missions came back froma 2-0 deficit on Thursday night in San Antonio to even the series at one game a piece.
Kyle Middleton toes the rubber for the RockHounds against Nathan Culp of the Missions on Friday. Middleton has been spectacular since being signed by the A's two months ago, as he has posted a 5-2 record and a 2.69 ERA in nine starts. In his last start against the Missions (last Friday), Middleton lasted just five innings due to a high pitch count.
Nathan Culp will try to bounce back from a scare last week, when he took a line drive off his pitching hand. Culp has pitched since the incident, but the minor injury could be a factor in tonight's game. Culp is 0-3, with a 5.87 ERA against the RockHounds this season.
Be sure to reserve your seats for Friday and Saturday's games at Citibank Ballpark. Friday night features half price fountain sodas and draft beers, while Fireworks will follow Saturday's game. Click on the links above or call (432) 520-2255 for more information.
