
Rockets Training Camp Week This Week

This week marks the beginning of a new Western Hockey League season for the Kelowna Rockets as the WHL team will begin training camp week on Wednesday with rookie camp registration.
All ice times are at the Capital News Centre.
Rookies looking to make an impact will have four days to do so as players will be split into eight teams that will play two games per day from Thursday through Saturday and a final game on Sunday.
Rookie camp will close on Sunday with some prospects being invited over to the main training camp which begins on Monday Aug. 30.
Nineteen players from last year's team are eligible to return to the Rockets club while top prospects will be looking to grab a spot with the club.
Main camp runs next Monday through Thursday before the team practises together on Friday Sept. 3, the same day the Rockets open a six game exhibition schedule.
Home exhibition games are Sept. 4, 11 and 18 at Prospera Place before the WHL season opens on Sept. 25 with the Rockets hosting Prince George.
