
Rockets beat Giants 2-1

The Kelowna Rockets edged the Vancouver Giants 2-1 in pre season WHL play on Saturday night in Kelowna, winning both games between the two teams this weekend.
The Giants opened the scoring in the first period as Jordan Martinook scored the games only power play goal. But before the first period was over Mackenzie Johnston evened the game at 1-1 with a one-time slap shot goal.
Tyler Matheson netted the winner for the Rockets in the second period to give Kelowna the lead and a scoreless third period gave the Rockets the victory.
Kelowna plays two more exhibition games next weekend as they have a home and home with Kamloops with the teams playing in Kelowna on Saturday night.
