
Rock Prepare To Wrap Up 2005 Hospital Tour

Toronto, ON - The Toronto Rock are taking time out of their Champion's Cup preparations this Friday to make the final two stops on the Rock Hospital Tour. On Friday afternoon, Rock players will visit Lakeridge Health Oshawa at 10:00am and Markham Stouffville Hospital at 1:00pm. Rock players will visit the Paediatric Diabetes Clinic at Markham Stouffville Hospital. This will be the fifth and final hospital that Rock players have visited in 2005. The team has been across the GTA visiting kids at McMaster Children's Hospital, North York General, Toronto-East General and Lakeridge Health Oshawa. The players will give the children a chance to get up close and personal with some professional athletes.
"We are glad to be able to participate in a program like this," said Rock Forward Jimmy Quinlan, "it's great to be able to give something back to the community and to help children at the same time makes it a little more special."
On Friday, Rock players will spend time playing games, signing autographs and talking with kids at Lakeridge Health Oshawa and Markham Stouffville hospital. The players will be at the Paediatric Diabetes Clinic at Markham Stouffville at 1:00pm giving the children a chance to meet some NLL stars.
