
Rock Cats Get Relief - Mike Tarsi Comes Back Today

New Britain, CT - The New Britain Rock Cats of the Eastern League announced this afternoon that 24-year-old LHP Michael Tarsi - a Danbury native who pitched at the University of Connecticut - is returning to the Hardware City today from Rochester in the International League.
The 6'8"/202-pound southpaw began the 2011 season in New Britain - his first experience at the Double-A classification - and was effective out of the Rock Cats' bullpen, compiling a record of 2-0, with 1 Save and an ERA of 2.05 over 17 appearances. He was promoted to Triple-A Rochester on June 2nd and subsequently made two relief appearances for the Red Wings in which he did not allow a Hit.
A 12th Round selection of the Minnesota Twins out of UConn in 2007, Tarsi will be in a New Britain uniform (#51) tomorrow night when the Rock Cats open a three-game series in Altoona, PA.
