DON'T LUKE NOW: Luke French lasted just 1.1 innings for the shortest non-injury or rehab start by a Red Wings' pitcher since August 26, 2008, when Tom Shearn went only 0.1 inning vs. Syracuse (Blue Jays)...Shearn allowed 5 runs on 6 hits before being lifted for Julio DePaula en route to a 9-1 loss.

CLOSE YOUR EYES: Luke French is winless in his last 6 starts, going 0-3 with a 8.17 ERA (23 ER/25.1 IP)...he has just one win in his 12 starts with the Red Wings.
