Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
The IronPigs (50-35) play the finale of a three-game series* against the third-place Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees (46-40) at Coca-Cola Park (*which will be followed by a two-game series with SWB as the "home" team)... With a 6-5 win last night, the Pigs have won four consecutive games -- the last three in their last at-bats -- and are now 7-2 on the homestand. Over a longer stretch, the Pigs have gone 18-9 in their last 27 games to go from 4.5-games out to 3.0-games up in the North... The Yankees -- New York's top affiliate -- have now dropped three straight contests following a five-game winning streak. Since June 18, they've gone just 6-10 overall -- and have managed to go just 2-10 in their last 12 road games.
RHP Scott Elarton (5-5, 4.60) will start for LHV against former IronPigs RHP Nelson Figueroa (5-2, 3.90).
Tonight's game features a post-game 3-D Fireworks extravaganza, presented by AT&T... First-Pitch is at 7:05 p.m...
