GET RID OF THE SKID: The Red Wings have lost 5 in a row and 6 of their last 7, a stretch that follows a season-high 4-game winning streak. The last losing streak of 7 or more games against one opponent was a 10-gamer against Columbus June 22, 2010-August 15, 2011 (first game of doubleheader).

Brian Dozier, meanwhile, went 2-for-5 with his first career home run, a solo shot off Ricky Romero in the 3rd that gave the Twins a 1-0 lead.
