Rochester Razorsharks Move Into First Place with Pair of Wins

Rochester, NY. The ABA Rochester RazorSharks jumped into first place in the ABA's Connie Hawkins Division after winning its last two games. The RazorSharks (7-2) defeated the NE Penn Breakers 107-86 in Scranton before returning home to beat the tough Maryland Nighthawks 126-96 before 2,993 fans at The Blue Cross Arena. Keith Friel had 25 points including five three-pointers and Demond Stewart scored 24 points.

The Strong Island Sound (4-7) travel to Rochester this Saturday, Dec 17th for a 735pm tipoff at The Blue Cross Arena. Rochester will look to avenge one of their two home losses as the Sound beat the RazorSharks 123-112 on Nov 16th at BCA. Rochester returned the favor with a 94-83 road win on Nov 26th. The Sound are led by former Chicago Bulls point guard Charles Jones and John Strickland. The game will be re-broadcast in its entirety on a tape-delayed basis at 10pm on WHTK AM-1280.

All kids 12 years-old and under can purchase a general admission ticket for $5 and will be given a special gift from Santa Claus before the game.
