Rochester Americans News Release
Tonight, the Rochester Americans play game-two of their six game homestand, as they face-off against the visiting Chicago Wolves. The Wolves have not lost on the road yet this season, winning their first eight contests away from home. The Amerks hope to change all that tonight, as they are a perfect 6-0-0 at The Blue Cross Arena this season.
Rochester has won four straight coming into tonight including a 4-2 win over Binghamton on Friday. Fifth-year Amerk Michael Ryan had two goals and Jean-Marc Pelletier made 28 saves to give the Amerks their 11th win of the season.
Rochester currently leads the North Division with 22 points and a record of 11-1-0-0, while their .917 winning percentage is the best in the American Hockey League.
The Amerks will continue their homestand, as they play host to the Manitoba Moose on Friday, November 17th in a 7:35 p.m. contest at The Blue Cross Arena. The game can be heard live on Hot Talk WHTK 1280-AM, whtk.com and B2 Networks.

With injuries to Buffalo Sabres goaltender Ryan Miller, defenseman Toni Lydman and forward Maxim Afinogenov, Amerks goaltender Adam Dennis, defenseman Mike Card and forward Drew Stafford were recalled by the Sabres. Last night, Stafford picked up his first NHL goal, as the Sabres grabbed their 14th win of the season, 5-4 over Philadelphia. Card recorded 11 minutes of ice time in his NHL debut at the Wachovia Center.
In Dennis' absence, the Buffalo Sabres reassigned Adam Berkhoel from the Dayton Bombers (ECHL) to Rochester. Berkhoel has a 1.67 GAA and a .943 SV% in three games played for the Bombers.
